Christine Widdall - MPAGB - EFIAP --

Christine was brought up taking photographs and learned how to process them in the darkroom from the age of five. The excitement of taking and making images has never diminished for her and photography is now a major part of her life, as an exhibitor and judge locally, nationally and internationally, where she has achieved many awards for her photography. She was awarded EFIAP in 2011 followed by the distinction of Master of the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain in 2012. Christine is also on the PAGB Judges List and she has judged FIAP and PSA accredited Exhibitions in the UK and in Europe. -

Christine works in a variety of styles, from landscape and panoramas to still life and portraits. She published her first book in 2009, exploring the historic area where she lives in the North West of England. Her aim is very simple and straightforward - to try to capture places, people and moments in time and make them as beautiful and interesting as possible. Working in the digital medium, she tries to go beyond the objective recording of fact and to use self-expression to provide an interpretation of her subjects. In recent years her work has become more creative in approach and many recent works are composite. --
