My name is Ana Maria Robles. |
I am a Veterinarian and Social Psychologist. My passion is photography. |
Twelve or Thirdteen years ago, the owner of a dog (my patient) was chatting with me about traveling and experiences and she told me about a photography’s course she was doing and invited me to his photo club. My interest in people and different cultures was strong, but I would have never imagined it would catch so much my attention. My first camera was a semi-automatic analogic Canon. I liked the course, but It seemed there was a lot to learn. I took more courses and began to participate in contests. |
It is a journey of experiences and sensations. It is a pleasure to capture the right moment, the achievement of an image, to empathize with the people, a specific situation that may occur and the wonderful cool people. |
I’ve won many national and international awards, and my photos were shown in classrooms of Fine Arts in several provinces of my country. If you look at my webpage, you will see that most of my pictures are portraits, some acclimated. I also like doing nature and landscapes, but my vibration is with people. I like to get in their customs, their ways of living, their reactions. I've always had wonderful experiences because they are usually people with a lot of simplicity, so they open their homes and show themselves pretty sincere. In this aspect of photography I am quite grateful.I would like to convey that we are all equal, no matter what status we are, in which culture, with suffering or joy, the way of seeing life, with more or fewer restrictions. We are all socially constructed, modified differently due to where we were born, we bleed the same and feel the same and diversity enriches and unites us. |
I had the opportunity to travel a lot; I have chosen very different cultures and have learned a lot from them. What is certain is that it’s not possible for us to believe we have the one and only truth, or that our way of living is the right one. Our modern life is not necessarily better than the ways and customs of other people. |
If globalization is spread, the world will be boring; the subjugation of people and lost cultures, as is happening in all corners of the planet.
Three galleries presented here, all three refer to the "Color of the Race" Ethiopia, Cameroon and the Province of Misiones - Argentina. |
