I started to take photos to use them in school where I work as a teacher of geography and history. At the beginning I was making only slides for school presentations. With development of digital cameras and more accessible prices I changed camera. First I used Canon EOS 350D, now I have Canon EOS 5D MkII.
After two years of more or less hobby photographing I became member of Foto klub Sušec (Photo Club Sušec) in Ilirska Bistrica, Slovenia. That was my first contact with more experienced photographers. At that point I stopped making only documentary photos from my travel - my major passion. Since 2011 I'm a member of photo club FD Janez Puhar from Kranj.
In past few years I achieved more than 90 awards at international salons – under FIAP and/or PSA patronage. Landscape is still my favourite photo motive but like to shoot also other motives everywhere I go. As a teacher I have opportunity to spread interest for photography among youngsters. Under my mentoring they achieved some international awards as well.
In August 2012 I got EFIAP/b distinction from FIAP.
